Speaking of bears - I was going to try the back way
into Peoples Forest's Elliot Bronson trail in
Barkhamsted, CT today. While approaching the
trailhead to park, a black bear ran across the road in
front of me heading the same direction that I was
hoping to go. Needless to say, I went home.
